Basel Family Concierge takes the privacy of the families it works with seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it is handled. It applies to this website and to enquiries made through it.

When you use the enquiry form, we collect what you choose to provide: your name, email address, location, expected arrival date, and any message you write about your family's situation. If you contact us by email or WhatsApp instead, we receive whatever information that message contains.
We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry, to understand your family's situation, and, where an engagement follows, to provide the service you have asked for. We do not build marketing profiles. Only if you tick the optional box in the form do we occasionally send you tips by email. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click or a short email, and we then remove your address from that list.
We process your information on the basis of your consent, given by submitting the form or contacting us directly, and, where an engagement is agreed, to perform that engagement. Where the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) or, for visitors based in the EU/EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, this is our legal basis under both frameworks.
This website and its enquiry form rely on a small number of external providers, each of which may process technical data (such as your IP address) as part of delivering their service:
None of these providers are used by us to advertise to you, and we do not share your enquiry details with them beyond what is technically necessary to deliver the service above. Some of these providers (Netlify, FormSubmit, Google, Unsplash and Meta) may process data outside Switzerland, in particular in the USA. Where this happens, it is based on the provider’s certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
We never sell your information. When we make an introduction on your behalf — to a paediatrician, a school, or another provider — we share only what is necessary for that introduction, and only with your prior agreement. Any resulting contract is between you and that provider directly; we are not a party to it.
This website does not use cookies for advertising or tracking. Loading the fonts and images referenced above may involve a direct connection from your browser to third-party servers, which can see your IP address as a technical matter of how the web works, independent of cookies. A short notice about this appears when you first visit the site.
Enquiry details are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and, if an engagement follows, for the duration of that engagement plus a limited period afterwards for legitimate administrative and legal purposes. You may ask us to delete your information at any time, as set out below.
Under the Swiss FADP, and under the GDPR if you are based in the EU/EEA, you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to how it is used. To exercise any of these rights, write to office@baselfamilyconcierge.ch.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and every engagement is additionally governed by a standard NDA.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
